Living History

The Fifth Missouri Volunteer Cavalry

www.5mocav.com

The 5th Missouri Cavalry is an educational, volunteer, living history organization; created to portray the mounted cavalryman of the Civil War period. Our purpose is to preserve the historical significance of the mounted soldier through educational, historic, and patriotic events.

Members of the 5th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry come from all walks of life. At each event, we come together with a common interest in making the Civil War period come alive, both for our spectators and for ourselves. We welcome both the experienced reenactor and the raw recruit.

In the 5th MO, we teach, learn, and have a lot of fun, safely. You are encouraged to come visit us at any of our events and find out for yourself how you can participate in this exciting hobby with a great unit!
