Jersey County Victorian Festival
is an event that promotes "History in Motion"
through Civil War reenactments, encampments, agricultural demonstrations,
antiques and working crafts, taking a step back in time to view our history
and to give visitors an opportunity to get closer to our past. The Jersey
County Victorian Festival has been awarded the "Top 100 Event for 2008" by
the American Bus Association. This national award is in recognition of this
wonderful family event that has many segments for visitors to enjoy on Labor
Day Weekend. Arts, crafts and working artisans will be demonstrating crafts
of the period. It will be held on Labor Day Weekend and is located one mile

20th Annual Fall Festival
in De Soto, MO. To be held in
Walther Park on Hwy. E in De Soto, MO. To start off the day there is a 5K
Run at 8:00 a.m. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be craft and food
booths, live musical entertainment and fun for kids of all ages. To continue
the fun we will hold the Joachim Creek Duck Race at 3:00 p.m. with over $500
in prizes to be awarded. Cast your vote for your favorite car at the Chamber
of Commerce car show. Other events include volleyball tournament, hula hoop
tournament, basketball tournament, three-legged race, washers tournament,
hot dog eating contest and a dunking booth Then to close out this great day
of fun, there is a Moonlight Bike Ride at 10:00 p.m. All applications for

62nd Annual Okawville, Illinois Fair
and Wheat Festival in the Community
Park. The three day event will start Friday evening with the Miss Okawville
Fair Queen Judging and an open air dance in the park with music. Evening arm
bands will be used on all three days (hours vary) and are $15. Single
tickets may be purchased at $2 each with one ticket required for rides.
Saturday events include washer tournament, kiddie tractor pull, exhibit hall
opens, antique tractor pull, rides with single ride tickets at $2, one
ticket per ride), outdoor stage entertainment. Sunday events include parade
exhibit hall open Okawville High School band concert. All weekend is the
Corn Box for kids, a play area for small children, free admission for events
not requiring arm bands or tickets and free parking.

traditions, crafts and skills at each of the stops along the way. Two
one-room schoolhouses , four building listed on the National Register of
Historic Places, a railroad depot, an 1832 log cabin, museums and century
old chapels will be open for visitors to explore. Each stop emphasizes a

Missouri’s French-German & Osage pasts come alive at Deutsch Country Days.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More than eighty
folkways and skills of our German forefathers--just as they toiled more than
150 years ago--will be presented at the living history weekend to observe,
discover and learn how our ancestors lived and progressed. The Pre-1800 area
features a gunsmith, French trappers, blacksmith, bow making and archery
demonstrations. As you stroll along the picturesque Osage Trail, lined with
colorful autumn foliage you discover several Native American lodges,
Teepee’s, longhouses and a Wicki-up, all authentically hand-reproduced by
the volunteers. Each locale have Native American’s demonstrating drum and
flute making, flint napping, tanning. All these educational and historic
exhibits are located on the Luxenhaus Farm, three miles northeast of
Marthasville, MO
