June 22-25 = Annual Galesburg Illinois Railroad Days. The presence of exceptional rail facilities has greatly influenced Galesburg's development as a commercial and industrial center in Western Illinois. Galesburg salutes the railroad's contribution during the annual Galesburg Railroad Days celebration that is held the fourth weekend of June. Events include: Galesburg Jaycees Rib Cook-Off, OAKS Flea Market & Dinner, Galesburg Railroad Museum exhibits, On-Track Displays, Railyard Bus Tour, Galesburg Historical Society Flea Market, Model Train & Railroadiana Show, Antique Tractor Display, Military Vehicle Display, Toy Show at Carl Sandburg College, Carnival, Street Fair and Much More.
